Greg Hodnett has had nothing but terrible luck during early season starts at
Port Royal Speedway.
His car owners Jim and Sandy Kline opted to take their No. 22 sprinter to
the Juniata County track this season but their finishes have been dismal,
thanks to a crash and a flat tire.
Hodnett took advantage of his low point total to start on the front row for
the 25-lap feature Saturday night and made it a race for second spot as he
checked out from the field to score his 14th career win at the Port.
The win was his second overall this season, after an earlier win at Lincoln
Speedway. He is only the second driver with repeat wins this season behind
Fred Rahmer.
Mark Smith finished second over Rick Lafferty, Cale Grubb fourth for the
second straight week and Bob Bennett in fifth. Todd Shaffer finished ninth
in the Beam Racing sprinter and Jason Shultz was 15th.
Scotty Haus made it two wins in late model action with a victory over Tim
Wilson, Jim Yoder, Tim Murphy and Todd Snook. Mike Lupfer finished 17th and
his brother Scott was 15th.
Derick Garman made it two straight in pro stock action winning over Tim
Krape, Brian Towsey, Dan Berry and Jim Palm.

The Greencastle driver lined up third in the field and had the lead with
three laps complete and never looked back in taking his 124th career win at
the Hub city oval.
Stuhler dedicated his win to his car owner Glenn Nininger, who recently
underwent open heart surgery.
Tommy Armel finished second ahead of Andy Anderson, Mike Atherton and Jason
Covert. Shermansdale’s Mike Lupfer had his second straight top 10 finish
with a sixth place effort.

season with a roadrunner win over Ray Rothfuss and Ricky Bender.

East Berlin’s John Moser, Jr. recorded a career first 358 late model win
Saturday at Susquehanna Speedway Park.
Moser took control early and was able to hold off Carl Graves for the win
while Carlisle’s Carl Billet came from the rear of the field to finish third
ahead of Justin Ehrhart and Sam Leonard.
Eric Walker won his second straight street stock main over Dustin
Hollinger, Joey Hoffer, Scott Thunberg and Paul Morgan with Newville’s Wes
