Mother Nature Isn't A Racing Fan

It's like a broken record.
Rain once again came out on top of local racing action Saturday night.
Forty-four World of Outlaw sprint cars signed into Williams Grove Speedway Saturday night as time trials and the first two heat races were completed before rain hit the the track forcing another cancellation. 
Cody Darrah set fast time during time trials with a lap of 17.979 seconds.
Terry McCarl defeated Shane Stewart, Kerry Madsen, Jeff Shepard and Joey Saldana to win the first heat while Jason Meyers took the second heat race win over Steve Kinser,
Brian Leppo, Chad Layton and Chad Kemenah.
The race will not be rescheduled.
Lincoln Speedway had six laps of its 25-lap 410 Sprint car feature in the books before rain hit the Pigeon Hills, forcing the remainder of the event to be postponed.
Cory Haas will be the leader when the event is made up on June 7. Nick Schlauch, Jr., Cris Eash, Adam Lawrence and Josh Wells will be the top five.
The Super Sportsman and 358 late model features will be made up on July 5.
Selinsgrove Speedway's Jack Gunn Memorial URC/358 Sprint Car Challenge was also rained out following time trials for the 55-car field.
Port Royal Speedway canceled its Saturday night program before gates opened.
