Third Win For Cannon At Selinsgrove

Pat Cannon was back to his winning ways Saturday night at Selinsgrove Speedway.

 Behind the wheel of the Zane and Vicki Highlands No. 3 sprinter, the Etters driver wasted little time in making his way to the front of the 25-lap 358 Sprint car event and drove off from the field for his third win of the year at the track.

 For Cannon, it marked his fifth overall win this season in the Highlands Tire Service, Gleim Bio-Fuels, Boiling Springs Service Center sprinter.

 Cannon started 12th and raced into the lead on lap nine and opened up a four-second advantage at the checkered flag.

 Blane Heimbach finished in the runner-up spot over Chris Borich, Chad Trout and Len Krautheim.
 
 Blain’s Jeff Smith became the first repeat winner in late model competition with his 30th career track win coming over Donnie Schick, Mike Bingaman, Jeff Rine and Gary Beward.

 Troy Miller won for the fourth time in pro stock action while Keith Bissinger made it five wins in the roadrunners.


SOCKS GETS GROVE FIRST
 Dave Socks became the fifth different winner in five events this season as he topped the Super Sportsman feature Saturday at Williams Grove Speedway.

 Socks, of Hagerstown, MD started fourth and made his race winning move on lap seven when he got around Steve Fannasy for the top spot.

 Following a lap 18 caution, Socks held off the challenge by Ryan Rupp, winning by three car lengths.

Eichelberger was third over Derek Locke and Gregg Foster with Jason Fry, Duaine Smith, Russ Mitten, Frankie Herr and Scott Dellinger the top 10 finishers. 

 Hanover’s Bobby Beard captured his first win of the year in the 20-lap 358 late model feature after taking control of the race on lap 14.

 Gene Knaub finished second over Nat Tuckey, Craig Wagaman and Roy Miller.  

 Bob Gutshall won the 15-lap street stock feature over Doug Hoffman, Kevin Sigler, Jim Salisbury and Kory Sites while Dave Leiby won the 4-cylinders over Kevin Thomas, Ed Hollenbach, John Stoll, Jr. and Dale Kreiser.


THREE STRAIGHT FOR ROHRBAUGH
 Jeff Rohrbaugh made it three straight wins Friday night in the 358 sprint car feature at Trail-Way Speedway.

 Rohrbaugh started 11th in the Vincent Racing JEI Chassis and went out front on lap 23 after passing Cole White for the top spot.

 White held on for a career best runner-up over Brad McClelland, Austin Reed and Joe Trone, Jr.  

 Sam Gallagher won his first thundercar feature of the season at the track over Justin Mong, Ronnie Thomas, Brad Shank and Todd Miller.


HERSHEY TOPS PATH VALLEY
 Despite battling Hodgkins Disease, Joey Hershey was able to put together a PA 305 Sprint car feature win Friday at Path Valley Speedway Park.

 Hershey started on the front row and never looked back in the big win over Mike Freet, Tyler Bear, Craig Laudermilch and Brent Comp.

 New Cumberland’s Ryan Greth won the Sidewinders 1000 Micro Sprint event after starting eighth over Jason Morrison, Denny Landvater, Aaron Spahr and Tim Mertz.

 Mike Dicely picked up the 600 Micro Sprint win over Jake Murphy, Tom Kohler, Tim Glatfelter and Nick Saner while Steve Whary was the 270 Micro winner over Jason Houtz, Sean McAndrew, Tanner Hunsicker and Kameron Morral.


RAIN STOPS SEVERAL TRACKS
 Mother Nature once again came out on top of several area speedway’s on Saturday night.

 Racing at Port Royal, Hagerstown, Susquehanna and Trail-Way Speedway’s was all rained out.

 The URC Sprint series also lost its Saturday night event at Grandview Speedway.
