Jeff Rohrbaugh has everyone’s number at Trail-Way Speedway.
The York driver made it a complete sweep for the month of June as he
raced to his fourth straight Friday night win in 358 sprint car action.
Rohrbaugh, the track point leader, came from 11th starting spot and
despite racing on seven cylinders, was able to put together the win in
the Roy Vincent Racing owned JEI chassis.
Rohrbaugh got around Randy Whisler for the lead on lap 13.
Brad McClelland finished second over Dale Hammaker, Whisler and Joe
Trone, Jr.
Brian Walls won the thundercar feature over Marshall McMullen, Allen
Cullum, Larry Neiderer and Brad Shank. McMullen won the
Lincoln/Trail-Way Shootout series.
KRAUTHEIM RETURNS TO VICTORY
Former track champion Len Krautheim scored his first career 358 Sprint
car feature win Saturday night at Selinsgrove Speedway.
Krautheim, a former track 410 Sprint car champion, started sixth and
took the lead from Ryan Kissinger on lap 17 and then held off track
points leader Pat Cannon for the win.
Cannon, a Friday night winner at Williams Grove finished second over
Blane Heimbach, Davie Franek and Colby Womer. Carlisle’s Dave Calaman
placed ninth and Newville’s Todd Reed 11th.
The 25-lap late model main was cut short to 13 laps after a deluge of
rain fell on the speedway causing a big crash in turn one.
Bobby Croop and Mike Bingaman finished first and second but Jeff Rine
was declared the race winner after a post race review that found Croop
and Bingaman were incorrectly placed up front on the starting lineups
after being involved in a first lap crash.
Rine won over Steve Campbell, Kyle Rhoads, Tony Adams and Chris Shuey.
AJ Hoffman won the pro stock feature over Chad Davis, Troy Miller, Brad
Trump and Scott Landis while the roadrunner feature was postponed to a
later date.
DIETRICH TOPS PORT ROYAL
Danny Dietrich came out on top of the 25-lap 358 Sprint car feature
Saturday night at Port Royal Speedway.
Dietrich led the first seven laps before yielding to Adrian Shaffer on
lap 8
Dietrich, of Aspers reclaimed the top spot on lap 18 and drove to his
second overall win of the season.
Shaffer, Nate Hammaker, Billy Dietrich and Kevin Nouse were the top
five finishers. Mt. Holly’s Ricky Stonebraker finished 12th.
Waylon Wagner won for the first time in Port Royal late model action
over points leader Scotty Haus, Matt Murphy, Bob Dunn and Tim Fedder.
Tim Krape made it eight wins in the pro stock feature over Derick
Garman, Neil Foust, Meade Hahn and Jim Palm.
The PA 305 Sprint car feature was postponed until July 19th after the
track lost power.
SEVEN WINNERS AT PATH VALLEY
George Riden won for the second time in PA 305 Sprint car action Friday
at Path Valley Speedway Park.
Riden outran Michael Heckman, Tyler Bear, Todd Spangler and Jim
Kennedy. Carlisle’s Jason Brandt finished 10th and Boiling Springs’
Craig Laudermilch finished 12th.
Cody Phillips was the 270 Micro Sprint winner over Tim Mertz, Tom Tice,
Nik Gower and Sean McAndrew while Scott Sawyer won the Open 600 Micro
main over Newville’s Timmie Barrick, Keith McIntyre, Jake Murphy and
Trevin Shank.
Tom Kohler won the regular 600 Micro feature over McIntyre, Jake
Murphy, Tyler Walton and Kevin Steele with Barrick seventh and Ben
Murphy 17th.
Ryan Greth was the 1000 Sidewinder winner over Jason Morrison, Rich
Halter, Denny Landvater and Sean Campbell with Carlisle’s Rohan Beasley
10th.
Ricky Harper won the mini stocks and Terry Smith was the thundercar
winner.
OTHER WEEKEND ACTION
Becca Anderson won for the first time this season in URC Sprint series
action Saturday night at Delaware International Speedway. Anderson held
off a late race challenge from URC champion Curt Michael before taking
the popular win over Michael, Chris Coyle, Davey Sammons and JJ Grasso.
Kenny Harris won the 600 Micro Sprint main Saturday at Shippensburg
Speedway over Mike Holley, Dustin Sheffield, Brian Sherrill and Jeremy
Glass. Other track winners were Keith Arnolt in thundercars, Donny Stine
in mini stocks and Brett Cessna in slick track.
Randy Christine, Jr. won his first career 358 late model main Saturday
at Susquehanna Speedway Park. His win came the makeup event from May
17th. He won over John Moser, Jr., Bud Witmer, Jake Jones and Carlisle’s
Carl Billet. The regularly scheduled 358 late model feature was rained
out and will be made up August 9.
Williams Grove Speedway Saturday night racing was rained out following
heat race competition. The remainder of the consolations will be made up
on July 12 with the fields partially set for all divisions. Heats for
the Super Sportsman were won by Aaron Eichelberger, Dave Socks, Paul
Miller and Dylan Cisney while 358 late model heats went to Mike Walls,
Craig Wagaman and Roy Miller. Rodney Clouser won the one street stock
heat that was completed.
Hagerstown Speedway was rained out Saturday night and planned to use a
Sunday night raindate for their Johnny Roberts Memorial event for late
models.
Trail-Way Speedway’s kickoff to the PA 600 Speedweek series was rained
out Saturday night after 84 cars signed in for action. The track will
use a Tuesday night raindate.
Sunday night’s Pennsylvania Speedweek show at Bedford Speedway was
rained out. It will be ran tonight (Monday). Twenty nine cars were
on hand for the event before heavy rains hit the track.
