SELINSGROVE
There was no stopping Fred Rahmer Sunday night at Selinsgrove Speedway.
Rahmer entered the night 28 points ahead of Cody Darrah in the 18th annual
Cindy Rowe Auto Glass Pennsylvania Sprint Speedweek event.
Rahmer set fast time for the Speedweek finale and then started sixth in
the feature event.
He drove around leader Sean Michael at the midway mark of the 30-lap
feature event and drove off from the field for his second Speedweek win and
more importantly clinching his 11th career Pennsylvania Speedweek
championship. It was his 12th overall win this season.
Rahmer was dominant in the feature, which needed a fuel stop as most all
410 Sprint car races at Selinsgrove do on the 19th lap.
Michael finished in the runner-up spot over Keith Kauffman, Greg Hodnett
and Jeff Shepard.
Rounding out the top 10 were Todd Shaffer, Cody Darrah, Mike Erdley, Stevie
Smith and Brian Leppo.
Rahmer had 749 points to end the Speedweek series after five completed
events.
Darrah finished second in points with 640, Hodnett 573, Shepard 562 and
Leppo 559.
Esh (524), Mark Smith (500), Chad Layton (464), Shaffer (458) and Stevie
Smith (434) finished out the top 10 drivers in Speedweek points.
