Mother Nature once again came out on top of local auto racing Saturday night.

In what has seemed like a broken record all season long, rain forced area speedway’s to postpone or cancel racing programs last night.

Lincoln Speedway will now race Sunday night with its Hank Gentzler Memorial for 410 Sprints. It will also be Manufacturers Night at the track. Gates will open today at 4pm with time trials beginning at 6pm. The thundercars are also on the card.

Selinsgrove Speedway was also forced to postpone the Paul Stine Chevrolet 358 Sprint Nationals until Sunday. Time trials for the 358 sprints will begin at 6:30pm. Pro stocks and roadrunners are on the card as well.

Trail-Way Speedway postponed the 20th annual Kevin Gobrecht Memorial for Micro Sprints until Sunday at 5pm. The 600, 270 and 1,000 Micros are on the card at the Hanover track.

Williams Grove Speedway canceled it’s Saturday Night Series for Sportsman, street stocks and 4-cylinders. It will not be made up.

The World of Outlaws postponed Saturday night’s Commonwealth Clash at Lernerville Speedway in Sarver until Saturday night, October 31st. It will be the third from final points race for the Outlaws this season. Cody Darrah was scheduled to make a start in the Kasey Kahne Racing owned DirectTV No. 19 last night at Lernerville.

The United Racing Club’s Saturday night event at Delaware International Speedway was canceled and will not be made up.

Gene Knaub came out on top of Friday night’s 358 late model portion of the Thunder on the Farm event at Trail-Way Speedway.

Knaub took the lead from Kyle Lear on lap 34 and drove to his eighth overall win of the season. The win was worth $1,200 for the Dover driver.

Mike Walls finished second and clinched the Trail-Way 358 late model track title. Lear faded to third over Shaun Jones, Brian Lessley, Charles Potts, Nat Tuckey, Craig Wagaman, Rance Garlock and Ronnie Dennis.

Sam Gallagher won the 50-lap thundercar event at the track and clinched the 2009 track title in the process. Gallagher won over Danny Beard, Jamie Zentmyer, Marshall McMullen and Rick Weaver.

Hunter Nester was the All American Outlaws winner and Daryl Hanson won the limited stocks.
