"Big Block" Adds His Name To Lincoln Win List

Shawn “Big Block” Weaver captured his career first 410 Sprint car feature win Saturday night at Lincoln Speedway.

 Starting in his customary front row starting spot, Weaver led all 25 laps of the non stop feature event for that first ever win.

 While Weaver was out front, there was plenty of passing going on back through and even the battle for the $6,000 track championship.

 Brian Montieth came from 12th to finish in the sixth spot which was good enough to capture the second straight track championship for the Jerry Parrish owned team. Montieth was 25 points better than runner-up Alan Krimes, who finished ninth.

 Eighth starting Adam Wilt finished a close runner-up to Weaver in the feature with third going to 16th starting Danny Dietrich over Randy Baughman and Chad Trout. Cody Darrah came from 24th to seventh in the non stop main.

 Paul Miller won for the second time this season in Super Sportsman tour action taking the 25 lap win at Lincoln over points leader Carmen Perigo, Jr., Bobby Hockenberry, Gregg Foster and Rich Eichelberger.

 Craig Wagaman captured the 358 late model win over 2009 track champion Gene Knaub, Jake Lettich, Bobby Beard and Bernie Beard.


STUTTS GETS FIRST
 TJ Stutts ended Pat Cannon’s domination at Selinsgrove Speedway Saturday night as he drove to his first win of the season.

 Stutts’ 11th career win came in the 25-lap 358 Sprint car feature, after starting in the 10th spot and taking control of the event on lap 14.

 Cannon finished second over Davie Franek, Phil Walter and Blane Heimbach.

 For the fourth time in his career, Jeff Rine dominated the 30-lap Late Model Open at Selinsgrove scoring the big $3,000 payday. Rine, who won the 2009 track title took the win over Gary Beward, Tim Wilson, Dylan Yoder and Tony Adams. It was Rine’s ninth overall win this season.

 Kyle Bachman won the pro stock feature over Shaun Miller and AJ Hoffman while Ricky Bender was awarded the roadrunner win after Kyle Miller was disqualified at post race inspection.


LATHROUM GETS BIG WIN
 While Jamie Lathroum was scoring the big win in the 24th annual McBee/Hays late model championship Saturday night at Hagerstown Speedway, it was a last lap last turn pass by Roy Deese, Jr. that netted the big win of the night.

 Deese’s pass gave him his seventh career late model track championship by just one point over Frankie Plessinger, who led Deese by seven points entering the event.

 Lathroum was dominating out front as he led all but one lap of the 44-lap event in his fourth overall win of the season. He took the checkered flag over JT Spence, Ronnie DeHaven, Jr., Al Shawver, Jr. and Gary Stuhler.

 Glenn Elliott won for the third time in late model sportsman action in a race that was called after 15 minutes to time expiration. Pete Weaver, Terry Flaherty, Kyle Lear and Steve Bailor were the top five finishers.

 Lear also capped off his first career championship season in the late model sportsman division.

 Mike Warrenfeltz won the pure stock main over Danny Beavers and Dave Stouffer, Jr. while Kenny Thomas won the Enduro over  Matt Smith and Krazy Kenny Thomas.


BITTINGER WINS AGAIN
 For the fourth time this season, Mike Bittinger came out on top of 358 Sprint car action at Trail-Way Speedway.

 Bittinger won Friday night’s 25-lap event despite getting into a lapped car and breaking his front nose wing.

 Bittinger’s win came over Jeff Rohrbaugh while track points leader Bill Dietrich and Brad McClelland were scored in a third place tie. Fifth place went to Austin Reed.

 Brian Walls won the thundercar feature over Sam Gallagher, David Prunkl, Rick Weaver and Justin Bittle.


YORK NATIONAL TO EHRHART
 Justin Ehrhart led all 32 laps of Saturday night’s York County Nationals for 358 late models at Susquehanna Speedway Park.

 Ehrhart’s second  win of the season was his biggest career win and came over Jake Jones, Richard Walls, Carlisle’s Carl Billet and Chase Billet.

 Craig Morgan was the street stock winner over Scott Thunberg, Jim Palm, Jr., Chad Smith and Greg Deihl.

 Andrew Frye won the Xtreme Stock main over Tommy Slanker and Travis Horan while Bill Diehl won the Legends car feature over Scott Houdeshell and Greg Burd.


OTHER WEEKEND ACTION
 Six winners emerged from Friday night racing action at Path Valley Speedway Park. Steve Whary topped 270 Micro action over Colby Womer, Ryan McAndrew, Kenny Edkin and Levi Peck while Dwayne Gutshall took the win in 600 Micro action. He defeated Dusty Foust, Timmie Barrick, Jesse Fitz and Isaac Sneeringer. Tyler Bear won the PASS 305 Sprints over Dave Wilson, Todd Spangler, Rodney Westhafer and Steve Whary. Other track winners were Kevin Thomas in the mini stocks, Glenn Winnick, Sr. in the 8-cylinder stocks and Tom Crum in thundercars.

 JJ Grasso went a long way in trying to secure his first career URC championship with his sixth win of the season Saturday at Delaware International Speedway. Aboard the Palladino Motorsports sprinter, Grasso was again the class of the field in the win over Davey Sammons, Kramer Williamson, Chris Coyle and Josh Weller.
