"Big Block" Adds His Name To Lincoln Win List
By Brad Vores September 6, 2009
Shawn “Big Block” Weaver captured his career first 410 Sprint car feature win
Saturday night at Lincoln Speedway.
Starting in his customary front row starting spot, Weaver led all 25 laps of
the non stop feature event for that first ever win.
While Weaver was out front, there was plenty of passing going on back through
and even the battle for the $6,000 track championship.
Brian Montieth came from 12th to finish in the sixth spot which was good enough
to capture the second straight track championship for the Jerry Parrish owned
team. Montieth was 25 points better than runner-up Alan Krimes, who finished
ninth.
Eighth starting Adam Wilt finished a close runner-up to Weaver in the feature
with third going to 16th starting Danny Dietrich over Randy Baughman and Chad
Trout. Cody Darrah came from 24th to seventh in the non stop main.
Paul Miller won for the second time this season in Super Sportsman tour action
taking the 25 lap win at Lincoln over points leader Carmen Perigo, Jr., Bobby
Hockenberry, Gregg Foster and Rich Eichelberger.

Knaub, Jake Lettich, Bobby Beard and Bernie Beard.
STUTTS GETS FIRST

as he drove to his first win of the season.
Stutts’ 11th career win came in the 25-lap 358 Sprint car feature, after
starting in the 10th spot and taking control of the event on lap 14.
Cannon finished second over Davie Franek, Phil Walter and Blane Heimbach.
For the fourth time in his career, Jeff Rine dominated the 30-lap Late Model
Open at Selinsgrove scoring the big $3,000 payday. Rine, who won the 2009 track
title took the win over Gary Beward, Tim Wilson, Dylan Yoder and Tony Adams. It
was Rine’s ninth overall win this season.
Kyle Bachman won the pro stock feature over Shaun Miller and AJ Hoffman while
Ricky Bender was awarded the roadrunner win after Kyle Miller was disqualified
at post race inspection.
LATHROUM GETS BIG WIN
While Jamie Lathroum was scoring the big win in the 24th annual McBee/Hays late
model championship Saturday night at Hagerstown Speedway, it was a last lap last
turn pass by Roy Deese, Jr. that netted the big win of the night.
Deese’s pass gave him his seventh career late model track championship by just
one point over Frankie Plessinger, who led Deese by seven points entering the
event.
Lathroum was dominating out front as he led all but one lap of the 44-lap event
in his fourth overall win of the season. He took the checkered flag over JT
Spence, Ronnie DeHaven, Jr., Al Shawver, Jr. and Gary Stuhler.
Glenn Elliott won for the third time in late model sportsman action in a race
that was called after 15 minutes to time expiration. Pete Weaver, Terry
Flaherty, Kyle Lear and Steve Bailor were the top five finishers.
Lear also capped off his first career championship season in the late model
sportsman division.

Jr. while Kenny Thomas won the Enduro over Matt Smith and Krazy Kenny Thomas.
BITTINGER WINS AGAIN
For the fourth time this season, Mike Bittinger came out on top of 358 Sprint

Bittinger won Friday night’s 25-lap event despite getting into a lapped car and
breaking his front nose wing.
Bittinger’s win came over Jeff Rohrbaugh while track points leader Bill
Dietrich and Brad McClelland were scored in a third place tie. Fifth place went
to Austin Reed.
Brian Walls won the thundercar feature over Sam Gallagher, David Prunkl, Rick
Weaver and Justin Bittle.

358 late models at Susquehanna Speedway Park.
Ehrhart’s second win of the season was his biggest career win and came over
Jake Jones, Richard Walls, Carlisle’s Carl Billet and Chase Billet.
Craig Morgan was the street stock winner over Scott Thunberg, Jim Palm, Jr.,
Chad Smith and Greg Deihl.

field in the win over Davey Sammons, Kramer Williamson, Chris Coyle and Josh
