Rahmer Becomes Sixth Lincoln Winner

The streak continues at Lincoln Speedway

 For the sixth time this season, a new driver visited victory lane and Saturday night, it was Fred Rahmer collecting his 165th career track win and becoming the sixth different winner in 410 Sprint car competition this season.

 Rahmer started sixth in the field and used a lap 19 restart to take the lead and drive to the win, his second overall this season in the CJB Motorsports Maxim.

 Dover’s Randy Baughman led the first 19 laps from the front row.

 Doug Dodson finished third ahead of Brent Marks and Doug Esh with Aaron Ott, Tim Shaffer, Alan Krimes, Brad McClelland and Daryn Pittman the top 10 finishers.

 The 358 Sprint and thundercar features were rained out. The 358 Sprint feature will be made up on May 8 while the thundercars will be completed on May 15.


FIRST CAREER WIN FOR WOMER
 Colby Womer raced to his first career 358 Sprint car win Saturday at Selinsgrove Speedway.

 Womer inherited the lead on lap 22 when race leader Pat Cannon’s car suffered mechanical woes and Womer then held off TJ Stutts for the win.

 Josh Beard, Nate Snyder and Larry Kelleher were the top five finishers.

 Jeff Rine came out on top of a thrilling battle with Tony Adams to win his second straight 25-lap late model main. Rine took the lead on the final lap and won over Adams, Steve Campbell, Jim Yoder and Brett Schadel.

 Jason Schmidt won the pro stock feature over Dave Brouse, Jr. and Matt Johnson while Scott Dunham, Jr. was the roadrunner winner over Brad Mitch and Ricky Bender.


SINGLETON TAKES PORT LATE MODELS
 Rick Singleton took the lead on lap three and went onto win his first 20-lap late model feature Saturday at Port Royal Speedway.

 DJ Myers finished second over Scott Haus, Mike Lupfer and Jere Wierman.

 Tyler Bear won the PA 305 Sprint car feature over Rodney Westhafer, Mark Watkins, Nathan Gramley and Randy Kaylor while Terry Naugle was the pro stock winner over Tim Krape and John Heane.


HAMMAKER WINS TWO IN A ROW
 Dale Hammaker made it two wins in a row Friday night at Trail-Way Speedway.

 The Grantville driver won the Spring Championship for 358 Sprints at the track after leading the entire 25 lap distance over Brad McClelland, Jeff Rohrbaugh, Chad Criswell and Logan Schuchart.

 Justin Bittle was the thundercar winner over Will Walls, Jamie Zentmyer, Brian Walls and Brad Shank.


BEASLEY WINS FIRST
 Carlisle’s Rohan Beasley won his first career 1000cc Sidewinder Sprint feature Friday night at Path Valley Speedway Park.

 Beasley, who started the Sidewinders group led the entire distance to claim his first win, a popular win with the competitors in the class. He won over Alex Schanz, Tim Mertz, Mike Zielonis and Keith Ford.

 Tyler Walton won another 600 micro sprint main over Jesse Fitz, Jim Brookens, Travis Saner and Eddie Rice while Tim Mertz scored the 270 micro win over Ryan McAndrew, Jay Horvath, Colby Dice and Kevin Garman.

 Other Path Valley winners were Scott Houdeshell and Bill Diehl in the Legends, Tom Crum in the 4-cylinders and Dave Leiby in mini stocks. 


OTHER WEEKEND ACTION
 Jimmy Owens won Friday night’s Lucas Oil Late Model Series event at Bedford Speedway. It was the track’s season opener. Owens, of Newport, Tennessee won over Brian Birkhofer, Will Vaught, Earl Pearson, Jr. and Jonathon Davenport. Jeremy Miller had an eighth place finish.

 Skylar Felkner won Saturday’s 600 Micro sprint feature at Trail-Way over Brian Racine, Brad Weber, Isaac Sneeringer and Shawn Seifert while Bill Laughman was the 270 winner over Nik Gower, Mike Boyer, Dave Schreiber and Steve Daron.

 Mike Walls won Saturday’s 358 late model feature at Susquehanna Speedway Park over Jake Jones, John Moser, Jr., Randy Christine, Jr. and John Baker, Jr. Doug Bennett won his second street stock feature over Doug Hoffman and Randy Zechman.

 Hagerstown and Williams Grove Speedway’s both canceled Saturday night racing programs due to the forecasted rain for the evening hours.
