Cannon Dominates For Selinsgrove Win

 After suffering a disappointing last lap defeat a week ago at Selinsgrove Speedway, Pat Cannon came back strong Saturday night to dominate the field for his second 358 Sprint car win of the season.

 Aboard the Zane and Vicki Highlands owned, Highlands Tire & Service Centers, Bully Hill Vineyards, Huntsdale Stock Farms, Boiling Springs Service Centers sponsored car, the Etters driver stormed from his 12th starting spot into the lead in just four laps and drove away from the field for his 20th career track win.

 Cannon’s win was his fourth overall on the season and it came over Bob Beidleman, Phil Walter, Davie Franek and Mike Walter.

 Jeff Rine made Selinsgrove Speedway history as he recorded his fifth straight late model win as he remains undefeated so far in 2010.

 Rine’s 60th career track win moved him into a tie with Richie Jensen for second place on the tracks all time win list and his latest win came over Jeff Smith, Dave Zona, Donnie Schick and Matt Cochran.

 Jason Smith won his third pro stock feature over Jason Schmidt and Dave Brouse, Jr. while Brad Mitch claimed his second roadrunner win over Kyle Miller and Bob Bussey.


EICHELBERGER TOPS GROVE
     Rich Eichelberger became the seventh different winner in as many races this season as he topped Super Sportsman action Saturday at Williams Grove Speedway.

 Eichelberger started 13th in the field and made a quick move to the front of the field, taking the lead on lap 11 and never looking back in his win over Carmen Perigo, Jr., Duaine Smith, Paul Miller and Jason Fry.

 Craig Wagaman won the 20-lap 358 late model feature over Bobby Beard, DJ Mease, Travis Mease and Duane Harbaugh.

  Doug Hoffman made it three straight street stocks win with his latest over Dustin Hollinger, Kevin Wirt, Bob Gutshall and Pat McNeal while Kevin Thomas won his second 4-cylinder main over John Stoll, Jr., Henry Lesher, Ed Hollenbach and Steve Hastings.


BILLET WINS FIRST
  Carl Billet ended his season-long bad luck with his first win of the year in Saturday’s 20-lap 358 late model feature at Susquehanna Speedway Park.

 Billet got by leader John Baker on lap six and never looked back in scoring his 52nd career SSP feature win over Baker, Randy Christine, Jr., John Moser, Jr. and Justin Ehrhart.
 Doug Bennett won his third street stock feature over Sam Rial, Jenn Scott, Scott Thunberg and Randy Zechman while Donnie Broderick won another Xtreme Stock Car feature.


BITTINGER MAKES LAST LAP PASS
 Mike Bittinger made a last lap pass on Randy Whisler to capture Friday night’s 25-lap 358 Sprint Car feature at Trail-way Speedway.

 Bittinger’s first win of the year and 11th career at the track came over Whisler,  Joe Trone, Jr., Dale Hammaker and Keith Prutzman.

 Gene Knaub used a final lap crash to cash in on the 358 late model win at Trail-Way.

 Knaub was racing third on the final lap when race leader Bernie Beard spun and collected runner-up Craig Wagaman. He then drove to the win over Cam Zeigler, Bobby Beard, Carl Billet and Mike Walls.


PENCIL GETS FIRST WIN
 Bedford’s Jack Pencil scored his first career late model win in Saturday night’s 35-lap Three State Flyers event at Hagerstown Speedway.

 Pencil, one of the best ever at Bedford Speedway, never won at Hagerstown but ended that drought with the big win Saturday.

 Pencil and Jason Covert exchanged the top spot before Pencil took control and the close win over Covert, Frankie Plessinger, Gary Stuhler and 19th starting DJ Myers.

 Scott Palmer ended a four year winless streak in the late model sportsman taking his first win since the 2006 season over Kyle Lear, Ashley Barrett, Terry Flaherty and Steve Axtell, Jr.

 Mike Warrenfeltz won his fourth pure stock main over Eddie McClellan, Kenny Dillon, Kevin Boyer and Dave Stouffer, Jr.


TROUT WINS PORT
 Chad Trout captured his first win of the year in Port Royal Speedway’s 358 Sprint car feature Saturday night.
 The East Berlin racer led all 25 laps for the win over Kyle Moody, Logan Schuchart, Dale Hammaker and Joe Trone, Jr.
 Scott Haus won for the second time this season in Port late model action over Waylon Wagner, Rick Singleton, Mitch Hack and Scott Flickinger.
 Dan Berry won both pro stock features.



OTHER WEEKEND ACTION
 Jim Brookens won Friday’s 600 Micro Sprint main at Path Valley Speedway Park over Tyler Walton,  Timmie Barrick, Jim Young and Jesse Fitz while Mark Watkins won the PA 305 Sprint car main over Rodney Westhafer, Matt Mountz, Jim Kennedy and Ben Naugle.

 Sean McAndew was the 270 micro winner over Ryan McAndrew, Brian Marriott, Jay Horvath and Steve Whary while Dave Friedrich (mini stock) and John Rasp (thundercars) were other track winners.

 Andy Best raced to a career first win on the URC Sprint tour Saturday night at Delaware International Speedway. Best scored the win over Jonathon Swanson, Eddie Wagner, Justin Collett and Curt Michael.

 Friday night’s World of Outlaws late model event at Bedford Speedway was rained out as was the Keystone Cup 410 Sprint Series event at Williams Grove Speedway.
